The version of Gimp for Windows is nothing more than a port of the most complete version for Linux. By itself Gimp on Windows has nothing to envy to the Linux version, it was not for some small additional packages that are enabled natively on Linux. One of these is Ghostscript.
In today's tutorial we deal with a particular technique, that will make our curious photos. To macro photography (or more simply “macro“) means the photograph of the small details to which the eye hardly pays attention. There will certainly have seen online, or in some magazines nature of some larger picture microscopic bugs, or the classic photo to’compound eye Fly. Everything is imperceptible at first glance, but with a good goal “macro” are unable to distinguish accurately even the compound eye.
In today's tutorial, however, do not deal with macro photography, but the blur resulting from macro to reality. All fiction, nothing macros for today. (more…)
Today's tutorial is a cross between photography, graphic and Mathematics. Photography because we start from a real photo, and a good photograph is the beginning of a good job, graphic because of the various tweaks that as we make any and Mathematics because the effect scomoderemo today follows strict mathematical rules, nothing is left to chance. For this tutorial we will use Gimp and its plugin MathMap. (more…)
Anyone with intellectual honesty would not hesitate to affirm that the level of interoperability reached from the Adobe suite (the manner in which they interface between their programs) e di Gran go top compared to open source alternatives. An example is importing tracks the Illustrator a Photoshop, possible by the classic copy – Paste.
Today's article, however,, not meant to be a criticism of the lack of communication between the developers of several open source projects, intention is to demonstrate how it is possible (in a way perhaps slightly longer) the same import operation paths between Inkscape and Gimp. (more…)
The tutorial Today is one of those simple tutorials that are exhausted in a passage. More than a tutorial would call advice useful to remember.
Let's say you have a picture medium / small, not suitable for printing, we want larger than twice. Until today I expanded work space with “Picture” – “Scale Image” and inserting the double values, but I just recently discovered a way to resize them in excess with a higher yield using G’MIC, the plugins that we had already discussed, that does it all.
Let's say you have a picture very small, 150×200 px. Of course we all know that is impossible to enlarge a small image without loss, and even this procedure is not without loss of information, on the other hand applies the small improvements to “simulate” magnification without loss. (more…)
In today's tutorial we see how to create a effect “ribbon” (tape) real Inkscape. The process is very simple, also suitable for novice users and can be imported subsequently within Gimp only if we save the job Inkscape SVG native.
This tutorial is very fast, are necessary for the realization by 2 to 5 minutes.
First select tool “Draw straight lines and paths” from the left side menu and begin to draw a path. (more…)
Since it is a lot that I do not write a graphic tutorial, I thought I'd do it now. Today we see how “render” a metallica graffetta with Gimp. This tutorial (come tutti gli altri fin’ora) è adatto ad un’medium-expert users the program Gimp, I do not exaggerate to declare the most famous Graphics software open source.
We will use a technique honestly a powder’ macchinosa, but already seen nearly a year ago: Give the glass effect / water with Gimp.
For the realization of the tutorial requires from 5 to 15 minutes, depending on the level of user. The result will be. (more…)
In today's tutorial we talk about photography. How many times has it happened to take pictures, affect them on the display of the camera and see them in good condition, then download them on the computer and realize the presence of the noise in the picture.
The digital noise present in the photo is the deterioration which can range from small disturbance barely visible, the disturbo “a puntini” very annoying to see how we will see in the next image it shows how the quality of the image may change, changing the ISO. (more…)
Here we are talking about graphic. In today's tutorial we see how to apply a special effect (spherical) One ad logo already round in a simple way.
Christmas is coming, and approach also new tutorials ready for some time, but that require some subtleties and adjustments. By the time I post a tutorial on three dimensions, I used this technique to create such Christmas baubles in a birthday card.
The logo available has been created in two minutes flat, do not expect fireworks. Below the logo and the final result. (more…)
