In the previous article we mentioned the technique of quickly '”invisible watermark“, a technique that would allow us to prove paternity of a digital photograph. The operation (as already described) is simple. The underlying principle of all is to have a picture “x” (my original photo I just have to keep) and create a picture “and” (the photo that contains the watermark invisible to circulate in internet). To prove to be the author of the photo just to compare a particular procedure by superimposing the two graphics immagni. Magically comparirà il watermark with our name and copyright information. Resize Images, since the photo editing programs have become part of the routine of the average, is a task as simple as trivial. It is used especially for smaller size is available save bandwidth on the transfer of the file: smaller image will load faster and also to use the images on the web is not the high resolution needed. And’ of a couple of weeks ago the news of the release of version 2.8 Gimp. The Gimp development team has decided to release the stable version, alternating with the development version, infatti l’ultima versione utilizzabile (recommended) for the production was the 2.6. Many readers will surely have installed the 2.7 however,, una versione beta a cavallo fra le due versioni stabili utile ad avere qualche anteprima delle novità e a testarne l’effettiva stabilità. Compared to the latest versions 2.7 the stable no surprises. The most important (or maybe that was waiting for the longest time) is the possibility of processing the images in more than 8bit. Inspired by the comments to one of my old article, I write a brief guide to clarify any doubts on’graphic interpolation. The short article today will speak only interpolation from the point of view of the graphic software, but it must be noted that interpolation is first of all a method to identify new points on the Cartesian plane, starting from a set of data points in the hypothesis that all the points can refer to a function f(x) of a given family of functions of a real variable. In today's tutorial we will see how to turn a colored photo in a pixel-art original, useful for creating large prints especially when the quality of the initial image will not let.

Today I report an interesting site from which I often take inspiration for the writing of my tutorials. The site is PhotoShopTutorials.ws, and as you can easily guess from the name of the domain is a site full of resources for PhotoShop, usable for most of the cases even with Gimp.
Today we see the “Lomo Light Leaks” pack, a collection of effects to add to their photos to make them look old. In pratica si tratta di 71 different images with the effect “flare” or reflex lenses. To apply the effect to the photo you want, simply open the “Light Leak” superimposed on the image as a new layer and change the mode from the main “Usual” a “Screen”. I also recommend you to resize the “Leak” to be applied to the size of the main image. (more…)
The version of Gimp for Windows is nothing more than a port of the most complete version for Linux. By itself Gimp on Windows has nothing to envy to the Linux version, it was not for some small additional packages that are enabled natively on Linux. One of these is Ghostscript.
