This article was published more than a year ago, there may have been developments.
Please take this into account.

In today's article we deal with FileZilla: the well-known FTP client, that besides being one of the best known is certainly one of the most secure and advanced client for remote file transfer.

For a fresh install FileZilla looks like we expect it. Completely virgin, no sites or saved passwords. Need a quick way to export them from your old computer to the new.

FileZilla integrates a function suitable for this purpose. Click on “File” – “Export“. This will bring up a popup with the items you put the flag on “Export items on the Site Manager”. It will ask where to save the file XML that will process.

At this point you simply open the file XML processed and read its contents, or transfer it to the new computer and import it into FileZilla with the same system.
