Social Icons based on font… but intelligent

Today we talk about are and web, indeed ... talk about an easy way to use a font in our pages graph which correspond social icons (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and so on), thus integrating the article about six months ago on the set of icons in the form of font.

The font of today has as particularity the fact of being simple to include, even more than the set of icons that I mentioned six months ago. It's called "Mono Social Icon Font", and a example live (worth a thousand words) we can see the project page. In fillable field (opening the site the focus is already on the) we try to write any of the names next to the icons below ("circleaboutme", "circlebebo", etc.). We will see the corresponding character without too many frills.

For inclusion in our web pages we download the package, which contains fonts in different formats, a practical example (an HTML page and a CSS file) to understand how it works and the copy of the license OFL (Open Font License) which determines the terms of use.

As reported by the author of the font use is permitted for any use (commercial or personal), for the web or for printing. The license is the Open Font License. It is hosted on GitHub.

It's free for whatever use ( commercial or personal ), both for web or for printing purpose. Licensed under the Open Font License. It is also hosted on GitHub.

I keep this blog as a hobby by 2009. I am passionate about graphic, technology, software Open Source. Among my articles will be easy to find music, and some personal thoughts, but I prefer the direct line of the blog mainly to technology. For more information contact me.
